At Portland Smiles, we are committed to providing high-quality dental care and reserving time exclusively for you. Missed appointments or last-minute cancellations impact our ability to provide proper care to our patients.
Portland Smiles will be revising our cancellation policy due to an overabundance of last-minute cancellations and no shows this past year. To ensure fairness and respect for our time and that of other patients, the following Three-Strike Cancellation Policy will now be implemented.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time will be considered a last-minute cancellation with no exceptions.
Strike 1:
We understand that unexpected things happen. Your first late cancellation (less than 24 hours notice) or no-show will be noted, but no fee will be charged.
Strike 2:
A second late cancellation or no-show will result in a $50 fee and a written warning. This fee must be paid in full to reschedule your appointment.
Strike 3:
Upon the third offense, we will require full payment in advance for all future appointments. In some cases, we may reserve the right to discontinue services.
